The Microdont Interproximal Reduction (MIR) allows a balanced orthodontic treatment, often without extractions and without promoting dental protrusion while the professional seeks the alignment of the teeth. The MIR is mainly indicated for orthodontic stripping and can also be used for finishing and removal of remaining cements, restorative materials in dental interproximals.
